My Story

​​​​​​​​​Culturally we recognise the significance of ceremonies in marking pivotal moments in life’s journey. Though many of us will have been to ceremonies where the words spoken did not resonate. Whether repeated rote from a traditional service or words that did not quite reflect the person’s true essence, their values or beliefs

My desire to become a professional celebrant came from wanting to make these pivotal moments memorable and profoundly meaningful. Where words land and have real depth.

20 years ago, I started writing ceremonies for those nearest and dearest to me, including my own wedding vows to my husband and the birth blessing for our twins. It is now a privilege to be in service to others, creating meaningful memories through funeral celebrancy.
​​
I bring warmth, empathy and compassion to celebrancy, having a background in counselling, coaching, and clinical hypnotherapy. I cover the counties of Berkshire, South Bucks and Surrey. I am a fully qualified member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the largest organisation of independent celebrants in the UK and Europe.​​

Celebrations of Life
Funerals are often considered solemn affairs, with sombre sentiments and sad music and it is often the day that families can dread. However, a funeral can be a Celebration of Life - a unique way of saying goodbye that truly reflects your loved one.
I create ceremonies that are as individual as the person who has passed. I like to spend time with my families, getting to know all about their loved one, which enables me to get a real sense of who they were and what they meant to you. Reflecting together in this way, can be profoundly healing.

We can build on some ideas you may have, or I can write from a blank page, a befitting eulogy to holistically reflect your loved one.
At the same time, supporting you to be as involved as you feel able.
​
Religious or Spiritual elements can be added, if you so wish.
​
​I liaise closely with Funeral Directors to ensure that everything runs smoothly, easing any concerns about the day. Rest assured I will be there every step of the way.​

Fees
If you have reached this site via your Funeral Director, celebrancy fees are included in the usual dispersement charges.
For direct engagement, my funeral celebrancy fee is £250.
Mileage inclusive, up to a 50 mile radius from central Windsor
